This distance is around 27 km and it takes around 2 hours to complete this. The expedition from marine drive to Laxman Jhula is not for beginners, it is good for a moderate level with a few extra rapids than Shivpuri. If you are not doing rafting for the first time anf if you are coming with family then this stretch is the best choice for you.

Kaudiyala to Rishikesh:

Kaudiyala is popular for its greater distance from Rishikesh. It is 36 Kms long stretch and will take 7 to 8 hours. Some other rapids you will come across are Sweet sixteen, Three-blinds Mice, Crossfire and the most famous The Great Wall Rapid.

Waiting time for River Rafting in Rishikesh: 

March to June is the peak time for river rafting in Rishikesh. If you are planning on this time so make sure to pre-book your slot prior especially during weekends. If will book it on the spot, so you might face a waiting time of more than an hour or two. 

During peak season, it becomes very difficult for rafting operators to provide 16 Km rafting due to huge rush and traffic on the road. So first confirm with your rafting provider for availability.

By Train-

By Flight-

Jolly Grant airport is the nearest airport to Rishikesh, it is approximately 35 kilometers away. Popular carriers like Air India, Spice Jet, and Jet Airways often have daily flights from New Delhi to Jolly Grant airport. So after arriving at the airport in order to reach Rishikesh you can take a  cab or taxi. A flight from Delhi to Jollygrant (Dehradun) will cost you around 2200-2500 INR and it will take around 40 minutes for you to reach Jollygrant (Dehradun) from Delhi.

By Bus-

The minimum time taken by a bus or car to reach Rishikesh from Delhi is nearly 5-6 hours.  But the time taken depends upon the availability of the traffic, Otherwise, it is the cheapest way to reach Rishikesh. The fare of a bus can cost you around 500 INR for an A.C bus, and around 800 INR for Volvo Bus.
