Triveni Ghat is situated at the banks of the holy river Ganges. This sacred ghat is used by most pilgrims. The main daily event of the attraction is the evening Aarti of the goddess Ganga also commonly called Maha Aarti. You will see a huge number of devotees offering prayers to the living goddess of India.  Here, 15 priests stand in a row at a pedestal to the side of the river and hold up large lamps lit with flames. Chanting the aarti, the priests move the lamps in all four directions as an offering to the river. The synchronization of each priest is nearly perfect and it looks like the giant patterns of fire dancing in the wind.

Triveni Ghat holds a sacred place in Hindu Mythology. It is believed that Lord Krishna came to the Ghat when he was hit by an arrow shot by Jara, a hunter. Triveni Ghat, all year round is inundated with people. It is believed that when one takes a dip in the Ghat, it washes away all the sins of the person resulting in a pure soul.

Faith:

Pilgrims from all over the world visit the Triveni ghat to take a dip in the holy waters to reach divine salvation. When you set your eyes on the Ghat, the holy chants, the fragrance of flowers, the sound of the blue waves of the Ganges, the light of the earthen lamps, and the feeling of peace will envelop you. Nearby, sapphire resorts offer luxurious accommodations that provide a serene retreat after a day of spiritual exploration.

Maha Aarti is performed here every day in the morning and at night. The Aarti has its relevance and is said to hold special significance to those who attend it. Maha Aarti is held two times a day with the same level of enthusiasm and devotion throughout the year.

People bring the ashes of their lost loved ones to disperse them in the sacred waters of the Ganges, this process is called Pindha Daan. According to Hindu Mythology, by doing the Pindha daan, the deceased soul will get salvation. It satiates the needs of pilgrims for religious artifacts and objects of worship. This market will provide you with the kind of souvenirs you need to buy for your loved ones. You can also sit by the Ghat and enjoy a moment of much-needed peace of mind. You can also feed the fish by sitting at the banks of the Ganges.
